Snow Luffy x Reader

The Straw Hats have just finished docking onto a winter island and you were more excited than anyone to get on the snowy island.

(Finally! I’ve had enough of those summer islands!) You run inside and grab your (f/c) jacket, and sled then make it out onto the deck where Usopp, Luffy and Chopper are wearing their punk hazard outfits and getting ready to leave the ship.

“Where are you going (y/n)?” Chopper asks.

“I’m gonna go sleigh riding down that mountain.” You point to the snow mountain up ahead causing them to follow your gloved finger.

Luffy looks up at the mountain with stars in his eyes. “That sounds awesome! Can I come too?!”

“I wanna come too!” Chopper says.

Usopp nods. “Ever since I heard that we were heading to a winter island I started making a sled of my own. I just finished it on time, but it can only hold 2.”

You nod as you pat the back of your sled. “Not a problem. This baby can hold two people no problem.”

“I’ll go with (y/n)!” Luffy says.

You nod. “Ok. Let’s go!”

After Usopp grabs his sled the four of you make it to the top of the mountain and were getting into the sleighs. Luffy took the front of your sled while you sat right behind him and hesitantly wrapped your arms around his torso.

Usopp takes the lead in his sled with Chopper sitting behind him. He turns to Luffy and grins. “Hey Luffy, how about we make a race out of it? Winner gets the others cleaning duty.”

He nods. “You’re on Usopp! Let’s go!” He pushes off causing Chopper to yell while they follow.

“HE DIDN’T SAY IT WAS OK TO START LUFFY!”

“A RACE IS A RACE!” Luffy yells as the sled starts going down at unbelievable speed.

You look at him nervously. “Um Luffy, you know how to guide the sled right?”

He looks at you blankly. “No.”

“Then why the hell did you take the front?!”

“It looks like fun!”

You twitch an eyebrow in irritation. “You-”

You were cut off as you both weren’t paying attention and were sent flying off a slope near the base and were sent flying into the woods.

Luffy was yelling in excitement while you were screaming in fright. He wrapped an arm around your waist and stretched his other arm to one of the trees and gum gum rocketed off the sled, and you grabbed onto the sled before it could break.

The two of you crashed onto the tree then landed face down in a pile of snow.

Luffy shakes his head to brush the snow off then starts laughing. “Shishishi, that was awesome! Are you-”

He cuts himself off when he sees the evil aura emanating from you as you stand up and crack your knuckles. “Luffy…”

He gulps just before received a bump to the head courtesy of your fist.

“WHY THE HELL DIDN’T YOU TELL ME YOU COULDN’T DRIVE A SLED?!”

“You wouldn’t let me sit in the front then!”

“Of course not! Achoo!” You sniffle then sigh as you run a hair through your (h/c) hair. “*Sigh* At least no one got hurt. Any idea how to get back?”

He shakes his head. “Nope.”

You sigh then walk in the direction the two of you were flying from. “Let’s try getting back the way we came. We might be able to find Usopp and Chopper.”

He nods as the two of you walk together for what seems to be hours with no sign of Usopp and Chopper.

“Achoo! Achoo!” You wrap your arms around yourself to keep yourself warm while walking and sneezing.

Luffy looks at you in concern. “Are you ok? You’re sneezing a lot.”

You nod. “I’ll be fine. We should be-”

You cut yourself off when you turn around to see Luffy making a giant snowball that’s taller than the trees behind you. “What the hell?! Why are you making a giant snowball?!”

“So I can get higher ground and find the guys. Besides, it was fun to make.”

You blink in surprise before rolling over from laughing. “BWAHAHAHA! Only you Luffy! I can’t believe I didn’t notice you making that?! Bwahahaha!”

He starts joining in the laughing. “Shishishi. Glad you’re not mad at me anymore. I’ll go take a look right now.” He climbs on top of the snowball then stands at the height of it and looks around. “Whoa! This view is awesome! I think I see the guys. HEY, CHOPPER! USO-WHOA!”

The snow under his feet gave way and caused him to fall into the snowball as the creation crumbled causing him to be buried inside.

Your (e/c) eyes bug out in shock. “AAAH! HANG ON LUFFY!” You run to the snow pile and start using the sled to help shovel out the snow until you saw a familiar straw hat in the pile.

“Hold on Luffy!” You dropped the sled and started using your hands to shovel an unconscious Luffy out then pulled him out of the snow.

“Oh crap! Luffy, wake up!” You slap him across the face to wake him up.

“Huh? What?” He looks around to see you then starts shivering. “Oh man, it’s cold!”

You look at his frost bitten cheeks nervously. “We gotta warm you up. You might have frostbite. Achoo!” You look away before sneezing.

He nods then wraps his arms around you causing you to blush but thankfully you could blame the cold for your red cheeks. You hug him back while trying to warm him up.

After a minute Luffy pulls back from the hug with a toothy grin on his face. “Thanks (y/n). Are you ok? Your face looks really red!”

(WHO’S FAULT IS THAT?!) You turn away from him. “I’m fine, it’s just the cold. We should keep moving. You saw the guys right?”

He nods as he wraps his arm around your waist in a sideways hug then walks with you. “If you’re that cold we should stay together. I saw them that way. Let’s go.”

You look away while walking. “R-right.”

“GUYS!” The two of you stop to see Usopp and Chopper running to you.

“Are you guys ok?!” Chopper asks.

You nod. “We didn’t get hurt from the flight, but Luffy made a giant snowball and fell into it so I think you should check him. A-” You cover your mouth with your free arm to suppress the oncoming sneeze while Chopper looks at Luffy in shock.

“WHAT?! We gotta bring you back to the ship Luffy.”

You nod while Luffy shakes his head. “Not unless you check (y/n) too! She keeps sneezing!”

You turn away from him completely embarrassed while Chopper nods. “Good idea. Come on.”

“Achoo!” You couldn’t stop sneezing and shivering as you lay down in the infirmary after Chopper has just taken your temperature.

“It looks like you caught a cold (y/n). Luffy, your body seems to be warming up normally. You’re lucky you didn’t get a fever.”

You twitch an eyebrow in irritation. “Why didn't the guy that fell into a giant snowball get sick?!”

Luffy shrugs his shoulders. “I don’t know. I don’t remember ever getting sick.”

Chopper places a wet rag over your head as you stay in the infirmary bed and hands you your medicine. “Sorry (y/n), everyone’s immune systems work differently. It looks like you’ll have to stay here for the rest of our stay on the island.”

After you take your medicine you look at him sadly. “Aww, can’t I just rest then leave tomorrow? I wanna play in the snow more before leaving.”

He shakes his head. “Sorry (y/n), you can’t leave until you’ve recovered.”

You slowly nod as the guys except for Luffy leave.

You look at his upset face softly. “Don’t worry about me Luffy. I’ll be fine.”

He nods. “I know… What’s your favorite thing to do in the snow besides sleigh riding?”

You blink in surprise then tilt your head in thought. “Hmm, besides sleigh riding… I guess my favorite thing would be making snowmen. Why do you ask?”

He jolts. “N-nothing! I’ll see you later!” He runs out of the room before you could say anything then blink in confusion.

(That was weird… Oh well, it’s Luffy after all. I might as well rest up.) You close your eyes while your breathing starts to even and fell asleep.

The next morning after breakfast you were alone in the infirmary completely bored out of your mind while most of the crewmembers were hanging out on the island when you heard a knocking on the door.

“Hey (y/n), you awake?”

You blink in surprise at the sound of Luffy’s voice then sit up on the bed. “Yea, I’m up.”

He opens the door then pops his head through the crack while grinning large enough for a Cheshire cat to be jealous. “How are you feeling?”

“A lot better than yesterday. If I was willing to hear everyone’s ranting afterwards, I’d sneak out to play in the snow by now.”

“Shishishi, in that case hang on.”

You tilt your head in confusion when Luffy shovels enough snow in the infirmary to cover the whole floor of the infirmary. You blink in surprise while Luffy tosses you some winter clothes.

“As long as we make a snowman before the others get back then it’s fine. Hurry up and change.”

You snap out of the shock then lightly blush before putting your shoes on and push Luffy to the door. “I can’t change in front of you! Get out!”

You push him out the door then quickly warm yourself up in the clothes Luffy gave you before opening the door.

“Thanks Luffy. Let’s make a snowman before they get back.”

“Yosh!”

The two of you make a giant half decent snow man that’s almost too big for the infirmary. Once you finish stacking up the snowballs the two of you look at it in thought.

Luffy scratches his head. “Hmm, something’s missing…”

“He needs some arms.” You grab some poles from the closet and place one on each side.

“He needs a nose.” Luffy grabs a thermometer and sticks it in the middle of the top snowball.

“We can’t forget the eyes either.” You grab some unused corks made for medicine bottles and placed them where his eyes would be. “We can trace the grin.” You trace a grin with a gloved finger then step back to observe your work.

“It looks pretty good.”

“I think it’s missing one more thing.” You go into the closet to find Choppers old hat then place it on its head then grab two tiny brooms and place them on its head to make the antlers. “Perfect! Luffy, I’d like to introduce Snow Chopper! Choppers long lost big brother!”

Luffy starts rolling over from laughing. “Shishishi! That’s perfect!”

You nod as you giggle at the creation. “Yup. We should bring him onto the deck though, if he stays in here too long he’ll melt.”

He nods as he gets up. “I’ll take care of that. You better get back in bed.”

You nod before walking up to Luffy and kissing him on his cheek. “Thanks for the snow Luffy. I had fun.”

He blinks in surprise before grinning. “No pro-”

“LUFFY! (Y/N)! WHAT’S WITH THE SNOW?! IS THAT MY HAT?!” The two of you look in horror to see an angry Chopper at the door.

“Uh oh.” Luffy kisses your cheek before running out the door. “GET WELL SOON (Y/N)!”

You freeze as Chopper turns to you. “(Y/n), get back in bed before your cold gets worse!” He runs out the door and chases after Luffy. “LUFFY! GET BACK HERE AND HELP ME GET RID OF THIS SNOW!”

You blink in surprise before giggling and getting back in. “Hahaha, this is why winter’s always more fun than summer. Good night Snow Chopper.” You grin as you fall asleep while ignoring the crashes and screams of the crewmates outside.
